Description:

Mar 07: Missiology (Belief and Evangelism)

What is the relationship between discipleship, evangelism and missions? What is a missional church in a postmodern world? In a globalized world, when the boundaries of evangelism and missions are erased, what does it mean to carry out the great commission, which neither mentions evangelism nor missions, but commands us to make disciples, not of individuals, but of all nations? How ought Christians to think about the validity of, message from and relationship to the other religious faiths of the world? Can those who believe in God outside the church be saved? Can a devout Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, or Jew be saved? More importantly, whatever your answer, why do you think so? Is there a possibility of postmortem salvation? What happens to those who have never heard the gospel? What is the destiny of those who die before they get a chance to accept or reject Jesus, including children who die in infancy?
